Baby-Friendly Hospitals in New York support moms and babies by making breastfeeding easier and encouraging bonding right from birth. These hospitals follow special guidelines to help moms start breastfeeding, provide lactation support, and promote skin-to-skin contact, giving babies the best start.
Hospitals earn this designation through the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) by meeting standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF.
