Centering Pregnancy

Centering Pregnancy is group prenatal care. You meet with about 8 to 12 people due around the same time, usually for 10 sessions of around two hours. Your own check-up happens in the room, and the rest of the time is spent learning and talking together.

Who it's for: Anyone with a pregnancy that suits regular prenatal care and who would like more time, information and support than a short appointment gives.

Common questions

Do I still get a private exam?

Yes. Your check-up (blood pressure, measuring your belly, listening to the baby) happens privately within the session, and you can ask for a private conversation any time.

Is Centering available everywhere?

No. It's offered by particular clinics and is common in some states and rare in others.

How current is this information?

Each listing shows where its information came from and, where we have it, the date a researcher last checked it. Details change, so call before you go. If something looks wrong, use "Tell us" on the listing.

Why do I have to enter a ZIP code?

So we can show the organizations in your county rather than a list of everything everywhere. It also keeps listings from being harvested in bulk.
